HMS Bristol
M.O.D. Black Water Tanks
H.M.S Bristol was being converted to a training and accommodation ship for the UK M.O.D and an upgrade of the black water tanks was required. She was to be moored permanently at Whale Island Portsmouth as a training facility.
Baymarine Services and Chemco were chosen for the task. The Tanks were high pressure blasted to WJ3 standard because grit blasting was not permitted and Chemco RS500P was approved, Chemco RA500M was chosen as the top coat for the job as it has great chemical resistance and solvent free properties in a very strict marine conservation area this met the requirements of the local authority
